EK Consulting is headed by Emiro Khury, a biochemical pharmacist with post-graduate studies in Public Health, Health Surveillance, Teaching and HR Training, with over 20 years of experience in cosmetic products R&D.

Among other activities, Emiro Khury was the chief technician and manager of the Product R&D Department at O Boticário (1983-1999), Manager for Product Development of the MC Collins – Brazil Laboratories (1990-1994), Professor of Pharmacotechnics II and Cosmetics Technology at the Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR) (1991-1994). He has been a speaker on product R&D at conferences held in the United States (2002-2004), Argentina (2001-2002), Chile (2003) and France (2001).

In addition to being Director and partner at EK Consulting, Emiro Khury is also the Technical Director of the Brazilian Cosmetology Association and member of the Brazilian Society for Clinical Research. He was also a member of the Working Group that prepared the Guide on Cosmetic Products Safety that was released by the National Health Surveillance Agency, and the Product Stability Guide, and is the author of several scientific papers that have been widely recognized at congresses and published in several international journals.
